The Influence of Cultural Background on English Learning

所谓文化,从广义上讲,是指人类社会历史发展过程中创造的物质财富和精神财富的综合。人类所有的精神和物质活动都可以认为是文化,因此,文化可谓包罗万象,既包括了反映人类文明的文学、语言、艺术、哲学等,也包括了人们的风俗习惯、传统观念等,语言是文化的载体,它反射文化的内涵,因此语言是文化的一部分。

Language is the carrier of culture,and it reflects culture.Language and culture are closely connected.In broad sense,language is a part of culture,and owing to the birth and development of language,culture could be passed down and developed.Just fancy,what would happen to culture without language?Or what would happen to language without culture?Language is in the constant influence of culture.There does not exist a culture without language,or a language without culture.
