摘要
教育哲学是通识教育重要的理论基础。黄藿教授从亚里士多德伦理学切入道德教育,以此为基础深入探讨其中的教育哲学问题,并在专业社群中致力于教育哲学与通识教育的跨领域融通。从教育哲学的观点看,博雅教育具有历史境遇,在古希腊是指自由民教育,中世纪是指博雅学科,到现代是指博雅学科教育。劳力或劳心并不能成为博雅教育的判断标准。博雅教育是一个浮动的概念,从博雅教育到通识教育的转变,不仅仅是概念的转变,更是当代博雅教育的诠释。通识教育的实践呈现出多样态的教学内容与组织形式。
Philosophy of education is an important theoretical basis of general education.Prof.Hwang Hwo s research on moral education started from his study of Aristotles ethics which in turn provides a key for him to explore the philosophy of education.Prof.Hwang devoted himself to the interdisciplinary integration of philosophy of education and general education in his professional career within a learning community.Liberal education has its historical-background from the perspective of philosophy of education.Liberal education refers to the education of free citizens in ancient Greek times,and it refers to the senven liberal artsin at the Middle Ages.Nowadays,it refers to the liberal arts education.Liberal Education is a floating concept that neither manual labor nor intellectual labor is the criterion for it.The transition from liberal education to general education shows different interpretations of liberal education among scholars nowadays.The practice of general education in different universities presents a lot of varieties in the teaching contents and in the administrative forms.
