This paper summarizes the theoretical basis of the impact on informatization toward economic growth in the city.From the macro and micro level,it analyses the influence mechanism of informatization toward economic growth in the city.Using about 170 prefecture level city,it measures the degree of influence of informatization toward economic growth in the city.The paper proposes some measures to promote the economic growth in the city by informatization.
