我国高校在英语学习方面要深入了解语言的测试质量,就必须要借鉴美国托业考试,本着以信度为主的测试要求,来逐步丰富测试的语言内容,强化创建语言等级的量度标准,测试教学质量的唯一指标就是语言测试的信度。对于语言测试来说,信度是决定其能力的关键因素之一,目前,我国在英语语言测试信度的创建上存在着很大的问题,所以,必须借鉴美国等信度好国家的制度模式,在充分了解和研究美国托业考试之后,再结合我国的实际情况对我国英语语言测试做出对应调整改革。

Higher institutions in China should have a thorough understanding of the test quality of language in English learning.The language test in China should use American Test of English for International Communication for reference,because its test requirements are based on the reliability which is the only index to test teaching quality.The purpose is to gradually enrich the tested language contents and to create and strengthen measurement standards of language levels.For language testing,the reliability is one of the key factors determining the learner’s ability.However,there exist big problems in creating the reliability of the English language test in our country;therefore,we must use for reference the system model with better reliability in the United States and other countries.This paper,after fully understanding and studying American Test of English for Int ernational Communication,makes the corresponding adjustment and reform on the English language test by considering the actual situation in our country.
