Cointegration Analysis of Import Demand Elasticity of Bananas in China Based on Relative Price

在分析我国香蕉进口贸易现状及特征的基础上运用协整模型对香蕉进口需求的收入弹性和价格弹性进行了估算。研究发现,我国香蕉进口需求受到国产香蕉价格、进口香蕉价格、人均收入水平以及进口贸易自由化程度的影响非常显著。因此,要提高我国香蕉在本国市场的竞争能力,需要对我国香蕉产业提供一定的保护和培育。

Based on the current situation and the characteristics of banana import trade in China,the Rotterdam model is used to estimate the import demand elasticity of bananas from different countries and the differentimport prices.The results show that the price of bananas,the per capita income and the level of the import trade liberalization all influenced the import demand for bananas in China.In order to strengthen the competitiveness of Chinas banana in the domestic market.It is needed farus provide some protection of banana industry in our country.
