A Review of He Lin's Theory on New Development of Confucianism

1940年代,贺麟提出儒家思想新开展的命题,并对其意义、内涵、可能性和途径等做了阐发。他的这一思想在基本理论立场、基本思维方式和基本理论依据方面都具有自己的理论特质。这一理论对儒学现代化和中国当代文化建构具有重要启迪价值,但仍有值得反思之处。

In the1940s,He Lin put forward the theory of the new development of Confucianism.He elucidated its significance,connotation,possibility and the way to achieve its development.His theory was distinctive in many aspects,such as his basic theoretic standpoint,his basic way of thinking and his basic theoretic basis.His theory has important enlightenment on the modernization of Confucianism and the construction of contemporary Chinese culture.However,the theory still has some defects so that it needs to be reflected in some way.
