Aiming at the coexistence of complicated and subjective interference in obtaining index weights in the process of evaluating the stability of reservoir bank slope,a new model is built to evaluate the bank slope stability based on improved analytic hierarchy process and extension theory.Taking the bank of Changshou to Fengdu section in the upper reaches of the Three Gorges Reservoir area as the research area, based on the remote sensing interpretation and field investigation, and combined with the characteristics of the bank slope,11indicators such as topography and landform, stratigraphic lithology and slope structure etc.,are selected as evaluation indexes.By using the improved analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to determine the weight of the evaluation index and the extension theory to construct classical domain matter-element,node domain matter-element and correlation function, the AHP-extension theory model for the evaluation of reservoir bank slope stability is established and used to evaluate the stability of the bank slopes in the investigation area. The evaluation results show that the stability of reservoir bank slopes are mainly stable, accounting for77.8%of the total length of the studied banks, and the poor stability accounts for22.2%,which are in good agreement with the actual investigation. The results could provide reasonable and scientific basis for disaster prevention and mitigation, monitoring and early warning in reservoir area.
