The transformation of major social contradictions is the important historical position and the symbol of the new era.We are required to think deeply about several questions as follows when comprehending the theory of the transformation of major social contradictions put forward by the 19th CPC National Congress.Firstly,development is the foundation and key to facilitate the transformation of major contradictions;secondly,it is essential to adhere to the principle of socialist fairness and justice;thirdly,it is important to boost the development of the new people’s livelihood issues.It is urgent to comprehend the new requirements of the transformation of major social contradictions for the consumption-economics research and to widen the horizon of the research.Firstly,the integration research is supposed to attach great importance to the people’s demands for a better life;secondly,the association research should focus on progressive levels of the people’s living demands,happiness and satisfaction;thirdly,we are supposed to enhance the research on anti-extravagance and unreasonable consumption;and lastly,we should study on the relevant issues that involve promoting the mass consumers’inner quality and educating them with the concept of the new type of consumption.
