The geological conditions in mountainous areas are complicated and there are frequent flooding.Water damage of roads in mountainous areas is one of the frequent quality problems that have been found in the roads in the mountains.As a result,road surfaces have been damaged and traffic interruptions have taken place in serious cases,threatening the lives and property of people.This paper analyzes the causes and types of mountainous highway water damage and puts forward some measures to prevent and control the damage of mountainous highway.It is helpful to enhance the ability of highway to resist disaster and ensure the highway can be safe and smooth.
