Developing a Measurement Scale for the Usability of Mobile Reading Application

移动阅读APP发展迅速,其可用性决定用户对于手机应用的满意度与持续使用意愿。文章旨在建立一套科学的移动阅读APP可用性测量量表,为移动阅读APP开发与管理者在功能建设、服务方面提供借鉴。以相关研究文献与访谈为基础,初步构建移动阅读APP可用性测量量表,综合采用探索性因子分析(EFA)和验证性因子分析(CFA)方法进行量表开发。数据分析表明:该量表信度和效度较好,最终构建了一个包含应用性能、用户界面、便捷性和内容四个维度的移动阅读APP可用性测量量表,涉及22个指标。

Mobile reading application is developing rapidly,whose usability directly determines the user's satisfaction and continuance intention of mobile applications.This paper aims to establish a scientific measurement scale for the usability of mobile reading application,which not only offers reference to the mobile reading application developers and managers in the function building,but also provides ideas for the effective promotion and development of mobile reading.Based on the existing research literature and interviews,a measurement scale of mobile reading application is initially constructed,and then it uses the exploratory factor analysi(EFA)and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA)method to develop the scale.The data analysis shows that the reliability and validity of the scale are better,and finally it builds a measurement scale about the usability of mobile reading application with four factors:application performance,user interface,convenience and content,which involves22corresponding items.
