赫西俄德笔下的神义与教化

The Theodicy and Education in Hesiod's Works

赫西俄德的全部诗作都试图回答"对人类生活来说什么是最好的"这一问题。诗人给出的答案是以神义论的形式呈现的。也就是说,在赫西俄德这里,要回答"什么是最好的生活"这个问题,必须首先回答人世中恶的起源及其与神之关系的问题。而神义论的最终目的是要对希腊人实施教化,即教导邦民过上虔敬的礼法生活。所以,我们可以说,神义与教化是理解赫西俄德作品的两个关键词。

All of Hesiod’s poems attempt to answer the question of“what is the best for human life”.Poet’s answer is presented in the form of theodicy.That is to say,in Hesiod’s opinion,to answer the question of“what is the best for human life”must answer firstly the question of the origin of evil and the question of the relationship between evil and Gods.And the ultimate goal of theodicy is to educate the Greeks to live godly.So,we can say that theodicy and education is two key words to understand Hesiod’s works.
