A Probe into Female Image in the Period of New Life Movement

20世纪30年代,国民党政权在蒋介石的倡导下,于南昌发起一场旨在使国民生活合理化的运动即新生活运动,这场运动以礼、义、廉、耻为基本准则,从衣、食、住、行等生活的基本问题中重塑国民形象。在这场运动中,国民政府针对女性制定了一系列的政策、法令,其内容涉及服装、头饰,社交等多个方面,展现了国民政府塑造女性新形象的政治意图。

IIn the 1930s,the Kuomintang regime under Chiang Kai-shek advocated in Nanchang has launched a campaign to rationalize national life,known as new life movement,with propriety,righteousness,inexpensive,and shame as its basic criteria,to reshape the national image from basic life problems such as food,clothing,shelter,and transportation.In the movement,the national government develops a series of policies and laws for women,including clothing,headgear and social intercourse and so on,which shows the political purpose of the national government to reshape the new female image.
