The Aesthetic Study of Taiwan in the 1960s and 1970s

在台湾,文学理论研究是薄弱环节;对美学的研究,更没有提上议事日程。在20世纪60年代能读到的有徐复观的《中国艺术精神》,这是台湾出版的第一部以中国美学为讨论对象的专著,着重研究的是中国古代美学与文艺思想。刘文潭的《现代美学》、王梦鸥的《文艺美学》、姚一苇的《美的范畴》和《艺术的奥秘》,其征引的大都是西方论著,对中国的美学理论论述严重不足。从20世纪70年代起,新兴起的是文艺美学研究。其中值得注意的有何怀硕的《苦涩的美感》、赵天仪的《美学与语言》。

In Taiwan,the study of literary theory is a weak link.The study of aesthetics has not been put on the agenda.In the 1960s,Xu Fu-guan's the Spirit of Chinese Art,the first monograph published in Taiwan,focused on Chinese aesthetics.The research focuses on ancient Chinese aesthetics and literary thoughts.Liu Wen-tan's Modern Aesthetics,Wang Meng-ou's Literary and Artistic Aesthetics,Yao Yi-wei's Categories of Beauty and the Mysteries of Art,which cited western works mostly,didn't discuss Chinese aesthetic theory sufficiently.Since the 1970s,the study of literary and artistic aesthetics had grown up,among which there are He Huai-shuo's bitter Aesthetics and Zhao Tian-yi's Aesthetics and Language.
