摘要
阅读理解能力是医学英语教学要培养的最基本的能力,以教师为中心的传统翻译教学法难以完成对学生阅读能力的培养。以学生为中心的医学英语阅读教学以建构主义学习理论为心理学基础,以学生既往的知识经验为背景,通过开放、合作、互动的翻译实践来提高学生的阅读理解和自主学习能力,其核心是以学生的需要为教学的主要内容,以学生的翻译实践为课堂的主要活动,以学生呈现出的问题为教学重点。文章对此结合教学实践进行了详细介绍。
One of the objectives of medical English is to cultivate students'reading compre-hension.Teacher-centered translation approach is no longer effective in achieving thisgoal.Cons-tructivist learning theory provides psychological basis for the student-centered teaching approach of medical English reading.Basedon students'past knowledge and experience as the background,their reading comprehension and autonomous learning ability can be improved throughopen,coo-perative and interactive translation practice.The core of this approach is making students'needs them ainteaching content,making their translation practice the main classrooma ctivity,andmak-ing their problems the teaching focus.This paper introduces this approach in detail by relating to our teaching practice.
