在分析传统采编业务的基础上,论述了新时期采编业务的各种变化,同时对采编的研究性工作进行了阐述,并提出了建立资源建设部的观点。资源建设部的工作内容是全面负责图书馆的资源建设任务,除了负责购买资源以外,还要负责自建资源;除了建设资源以外,还要负责各种资源的分编业务。其中,自建资源包括编制各种二次文献、自建数据库、网络虚拟资源建设等项内容。
