传播符号学视角中的福柯——社会互动与讯息意义

Foucault in the Perspective of Communication Semiotics: Social Interaction and the Meaning of Information

传播学领域对福柯的研究兴趣一直持续着,尤其在新媒介技术勃兴的今天,数据库技术的使用对个体社会实践的影响成为讨论的热点。由于福柯思想的艰涩难懂,普遍存在的误读和不恰当的理论应用成为传播学基础研究所必须面对的问题。从传播符号学出发,通过"信息意义"和"社会互动"两大环节可以探寻福柯与传播学研究的理论交集:福柯对"信息撒播"与"社会实践"的理解,与传播符号学形成共鸣;而通过对作为"信息意义"与"社会实践"之内在逻辑通道的"规训技术"的层层解析,则可揭示出传播学对福柯理论的应用研究中所存在的重要问题及原因。

Communication studies have always kept a continuing interest in Michel Foucault.The interest has been enhanced with the development of new media technology,especially with influence of database technology on the individual social practice,leading to hot discussion.However,prevailing misunderstandings of Foucault and improper theoretical application,arising from the obscurity of Foucault’s thought,must be tackled by the basic research of communication studies.Perceived from communication semiotics,the paper explores the theoretical intersection between Foucault’s theories and communication studies through discussion of“the meaning of information”and“social interaction”.It is held that Foucault’s understanding of them resounds with communication semiotics,and through an in-depth analysis of“disciplinary technology”which is the inner logical channel linking“the meaning of information”and“social interaction”,we can find out some major problems existing in the current application studies to Foucault’s theories and the causes of these problems.
