《北京折叠》英译策略研究——兼论直译、意译之辩

Translation Strategies of Folding Beijing:An Analysis of Literal Translation and Free Translation

参照艾伟的调查研究,考察了科幻小说《北京折叠》英译者的翻译策略,尤其是涉及文化因素的翻译方法。结果表明:直译与意译之间存在过渡,而在过渡中采取适宜和灵活的翻译策略有助于《北京折叠》在英语国家中的接受,尤其偏向于直译的策略更有助于我国文学作品中文化专有词的译介与传播。

Drawing on the survey by Ai Wei,the article examines the translation strategies in Folding Beijing.It is found that there are transitional phases between literal translation and free translation and both approaches can facilitate the novel’s popularity,especially the Chinese culture-specific items’reception in the English-speaking countries.
