Analysis on the “Die-hards” Cultural Thoughts during the Period of Westernization Movement in the Late Qing Dynasty

洋务运动期间,"洋务"与"顽固"两派进行了激烈的思想论战。受传统和现实原因的影响,"顽固派"有自己的主张和见解,正确看待"顽固派"的反洋务思想,有助于更全面地认识洋务运动,而他们强调的仁信礼让等道德规范和注重个人修养的传统,更有助于社会和谐意识的建立与结构秩序的稳定。

During the westernization movement,the“westernization school”and the“die-hards”have engaged in heated ideological debates.Influenced by traditional and realistic reasons,the“die-hards”have their own views and opinions.Right view of the anti-westernization thought of the“die-hards”can help us to know more comprehensive westernization movement.Their emphasis on the moral norms of benevolence and courtesy and the tradition of paying attention to personal accomplishment are more conducive to the establishment of social harmony and the stability of the structural order.
