Through the textual research of Songling Pu’s experience of imperial examination,it showed that Songling Pu was not obsessive about the examination.So much of that depended on the love promise with Qingxia Gu.This promise not only showed Songling Pu’s real temperament and his pursuit,but also surpass the imperial examination when he passed it.Besides,it also provide the ideological foundation and emotional motivation for him to write the great literary work Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio.
