“文字学”术语的早期使用

Early Use of the Term of Grammatology

"文字学"术语到底于何时开始使用,过去认为钱玄同1910年发表《中国文字学说略》开始使用"文字学"名词,但实际上其文章名称为《中国文字说略》。乾隆年间编修的《钦定续通志》虽然使用了这一个词,但近代学科意义上的使用则开始于刘师培1905年《周末学术史序·文字学史序》,其同年编纂的《中国文学教科书》第一册是第一本文字学概论性著作。章太炎、钱玄同1910年编纂出版的《教育今语杂志》设置了"中国文字学"栏目,接着使用了"文字学"这一术语。

When talking about the term of grammatology,we used to regard that it was first used in A Brief Introduction of Chinese Grammatology(《中国文字学说略》),which was written by Qian Xuantong(钱玄同)in 1910.However,the actual name of the article is A Brief Introduction of Chinese Characters(《中国文字说略》).Although Qindingxutongzhi written in the Qianlong period used the word,Liu Shipei started using the term of grammatology in his article Description of the History of Grammatology(《周末学术史序·文字学史序》)with disciplinary implications,which was published in 1905.In the same year,the Volume One of the Chinese Literature Textbooks(《中国文学教科书》)was compiled by Liu Shipei,and became grammatology column in their journal Jiaoyu Jinyu(《教育今语杂志》),indicated that they had accepted the term of grammatology.
