Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary discipline.The course teaching quality has a close relationship with students'professional foundation.Based on the characteristics of the subject,as well as the teaching object for undergraduates in the department of biotechnology and biological engineering,the article researches the project teaching method reform in the background of the current applied talents training mode.The teaching effect is remarkable after the reform,and applied talents are cultivated for our country.The students'interests in learning and professional skills have greatly improved.
