Good Administration and Good Governance:Ou Yangde's Political Thoughts

欧阳德政治思想非常丰富,不乏精警可鉴者。其政治思想的观念基础是"良知致,人之能事至矣"。他不断鼓倡"善政"与"善治",认为"德立则政无不达""政以廉成";与阳明学派其他学者一样,他也强调良知学的实践性,主张政学一致,指出"无政非学";他还提出了"平政"的行政管理原则以及"强本节用"等具体的政策措施。

Ou Yangde’s political thoughts are very abundant,containing many ideas worthy of our reference.His political ideology is based on“innate knowledge realized,people’s extreme idea can be achieved”.He continued to encourage and advocate for“good administration”and“good governance”,and considered that virtue ethics can ensure the realization of governance,and that integrity is the guarantee of realization of governance.Like other scholars of the Yangming school,he also stressed the practice of innate knowledge,and considered governance must be consistent with academic studies,as well as academic research focusing on governance.He also presented the“ping-zheng”administrative principles,the policy of“enhance agricultural production and economize expenses”and other concrete suggestions.
