As one important kind of hats for ancient male, the FuTou initially shaped in Sui and was widely used in Tang and Song. But the style has also been constantly changing. There were emperor portraits of the Song Dynasty once stored in NanXun hall of the Imperial Palace, which was painted in Song. The FuTous worn by emperors are different, which convey more obvious traces of evolution. The exploration about the trace will help us get a further understanding of the system of Crown service in Song, and promote the research about special topic of art history.
