为了建构作为公平的正义理论或政治自由主义,罗尔斯对reasonable和rational作出了十分重要的区分。从思想来源看,他的区分包含了对康德关于纯粹的实践理性和经验的实践理性的划分观念的解释性继承、以及对西布利关于reasonable和rational的区别之观点的基本借鉴。从内容看,可以把这种区分理解为它是围绕人们社会行为的根本特征、主体样式、能力理念、基本状态而展开的,其实质是对人们社会生活的公道要求与善目的要求的区分。根据这种实质和中文相关概念的日常用法,可以把reasonable和rational分别翻译为"公道的"和"明智的",或"公道理性的"和"善目的理性的"。
In order to construct his theory of justice as fairness or political liberalism,Rawls makes a very important distinction between the reasonable and the rational. On the source of thought,his view contains an interpretive inheritance from Kant' s dividing of the pure practical reason and the empirical practical reason,and a basic borrow from Sibley' s distinguishing between the reasonable and the rational. In content,we can view Rawls' this differentiation as demonstrating itself around the fundamental features,modes of subjects,ideas of power,basic states,of social behaviors,and in essence it is a differentiation between the requirements of the equity-reason and the good-end reason in social life. According to this point and the daily usage of Chinese related concepts,we may translate respectively "reasonable"and"rational"into"gongdaode"and"mingzhide",or"gongdaolixingde"and"shanmudilixingde".
