The present author studies several texts where Heidegger does directly address the ethical question in order to approach the question of Heidegger and the possibility of original ethics.In these texts,which appeared in the last year of World War II and the first few years after the Nazi regime,something like a clear acknowledgment of ethical issues is taken up by Heidegger.What researchers find then in Heidegger is a call back to the ancient sense of ethical life.Heidegger himself rejected thew ord“ethics,'but this paper maintains that his work s a great resource for the task of thinking through the difficulties of ethical life in our times.
