斯里兰卡是印度洋地区具有重要战略地位的岛国。1948年独立以来,斯里兰卡外交政策既体现出变化,也存在连续性。1948年至1956年间,斯里兰卡在外交上亲近西方,戒备印度,排斥共产主义国家。1956年至1977年间,斯里兰卡主要采取了不结盟的外交方针,改善斯印关系,与中国建立和加强了外交联系。1977年至1994年间,斯里兰卡奉行亲西方的外交政策,斯印关系因斯里兰卡内战而趋于紧张。1994年至2015年间,斯里兰卡加强与亚洲国家的合作,中斯关系在2005年之后快速发展。2015年以来,西里塞纳政府调整了外交政策,采取兼顾各方的原则,中斯关系稳定发展。

Located in the Indian Ocean,Sri Lanka is an island country with an important strategic position.Since its independence in 1948,Sri Lanka's foreign policy has shown both changes and continuities.From 1948 to 1956,Sri Lanka was diplomatically close to the West,alerting India and excluding communist countries at the same time.From1956 to 1977,Sri Lanka mainly adopted a non-aligned foreign policy,improved the relations with India,and established and strengthened diplomatic ties with China.From 1977 to 1994,Sri Lanka pursued a pro-Western diplomacy and India-Sri Lanka relations were intensive because of the civil war in Sri Lanka.Between 1994 and 2015,Sri Lanka cooperated with many Asian countries and Sino-Sri Lanka relations experienced a rapid development after 2005.Since 2015,the government of Sirisena has adjusted Sri Lanka's foreign policy and adopted a balancing act,and the relationship between China and Sri Lanka has developed steadily.
