我国进入了各民族跨城乡跨区域跨行业大流动的活跃期,民族分布格局和民族关系发生重大变化。以习近平同志为核心的党中央站在治国理政的战略高度,从民族工作的全局出发,深刻把握新时代城市民族问题发展变化的规律和特征,形成了习近平城市民族工作思想,其内容主要包括三个方面:一是坚持中国特色解决民族问题的正确道路;二是明确城市民族工作的重要位置;三是完善和发展城市民族工作的具体路径。习近平城市民族工作思想丰富和发展了马克思主义民族理论,统一了全党、全社会对城市民族工作的认识,为新时代做好城市民族工作提供了理论基础和行动指南。

The new century witnessed inter-regional and inter-industrial migrations of ethnic nationalities across rural/urban boundaries in China.Vital changes happen in ethnic nationality layout and in internationality relations.Grasping the general layout of ethnic works and with strategic insights at national governance level,the CPCCC centered at comrade Xi Jinping probed the regularities and characteristics of urban ethnic woks in a new era,and forms Xi Jinping Thought on Urban Ethnic Works.The Thought comprises three important aspects:insistence on the correct routes of solving ethnic problems in a Chinese way,emphasis on the priority of urban ethnic works,and concrete approaches to improving and developing urban ethnic works.The Thought,enriching and developing Marxist theory on ethnic questions,generalizes the Party's and the country's understanding of urban ethnic works and lays theoretical basis and practical guidelines for urban ethnic works in a new era.
