高质量论文使用次数与被引次数相关性的特征分析

Analysis of Correlation between Usage Count and Times Cited of High Quality Literatures

[目的/意义]论文质量主要包括引文影响力和传播速度两个方面,探讨高质量论文引文影响力指标(被引次数)和传播速度指标(使用次数)在论文、期刊、学科、时间水平的分布特征,可以为科技论文评价提供参考。[方法/过程]收集2011-2015年Web of Science数据库中收录的"再生医学"领域的文献,根据二八定律将使用次数≥18的论文纳入数据集1,被引次数≥12次的论文纳入数据集2,抽取2个数据集中的交集论文作为高质量论文。对这部分论文在不同年份、期刊和学科中的使用和被引情况进行分析。[结果/结论](1)高质量论文的使用次数与被引次数的相关系数为0.643;(2)发表时间越早,高质量论文使用次数与被引次数的相关系数越高;(3)高质量论文的使用次数和被引次数在期刊水平的相关系数为0.893;(4)高质量论文的使用次数和被引次数在学科水平的相关系数为0.972。不考虑时间因素的影响,高质量论文的使用次数与被引次数的相关系数在论文、期刊、学科和时间水平呈中等以上相关性,这有利于该领域新发表论文的早期评价。

[Purpose/Significance]Citation impact and spread rate are the two main aspects for measuring literature quality.The study discussed the distribution characteristics of usage count and times cited on paper,journal,discipline and time level with the aim of facilitating the evaluation of academic papers.[Method/Process]Papers on“regenerative medicine”from Web of Science during 2011 to 2015 were retrieved firstly.Then papers with usage count of equal or above 18 formed dataset 1 and papers with times cited equal or above 12 constructed dataset 2,the papers included in both datasets were identified as high quality papers,and their usage count and times cited were analyzed according to years,journals and citations.[Result/Conclusion]The study shows that:①Correlation coefficient is 0.643 on paper level of usage count and times cited.②Correlation coefficient of high quality literatures is getting higher when the literatures are getting older.③Correlation coefficient is 0.893 on journal level of usage count and times cited.④Correlation coefficient is 0.972 on disciplinary level of usage count and times cited.High quality literatures share a medium or above correlation coefficient on paper,journal,discipline and time level,this feature will benefit early evaluating of newly published papers.
