从语言层面看英若诚戏剧译本的受众效果

Reviewing Audience Effects of Ying Ruocheng's Drama Translations from the Linguistic Level

戏剧的文学性和舞台性要求戏剧翻译必须注重受众效果,导致其翻译困难重重。戏剧语言是特殊的,汉英语也有诸多不同。所以,戏剧翻译不仅要从文学、美学、文化、功能论等层面来研究,也不应忽视其语言层面的研究。因此,结合戏剧的特殊性,尝试从修辞学的受众效果角度,研究英若诚已搬上舞台且极受受众欢迎的剧本,以语言层面的翻译研究为重点,分析其译出上好受众效果的剧本所采用的技巧与方法,能为戏剧翻译研究提供一个新的切入点。

Drama is kind of literature and attempted for performance on stage,which requires its sharp focus on audience effects and leads to enormous difficulty when being translated.Because Drama language has its own peculiarities and there are considerable differences between Chinese and English,drama translation study should be conducted not only from the perspectives such as literature,culture,aesthetics,skopos,the linguistic level should not be neglected as well.Therefore,considering the specialties of drama,this paper is to study Ying Ruochen's translations which have been put on stage and received satisfactory audience effects,from the perspective of rhetoric,focusing on the linguistic elements,so as to find out the translation skills and techniques Ying adopts to produce translations with good audience effects,expecting to offer a new point of penetration to drama translation study.
