摘要
文章从赫尔曼·麦尔维尔的主要作品入手,分析其蕴含的美国民族文化特征,认为其作品体现了浪漫主义色彩,开辟了文学领域中一片全新的视野,让我们能透过文学作品了解到美国的民族文化及其价值追求。
The paper examines the major works of Herman Melville and analyses the American cultural characteristics embodied in his works.The paper reveals that his works reflect romanticism in a certain degree and offer a brand new horizon in the field of literature by which the readers can have a better understanding of American’s culture and values.
