With the waves of heated discussions brought by Trump’s“New Deal”,the topic surrounding Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the 2016 Presidential Election has long been left behind.But it renders great potential for profound reflection and further discussions within the academia.From the angle of Hillary’s debacle,we perceive many problems of the American political ecology,including political polarization and value divergence.Hillary naturally lost due to the electoral college system,but the underlying cause was the diversely complex reality of American society.Her defeat is the setback of the pro-establishment camp,the elitist politics,and the universal value system that they have faith in.On the other hand,Trump’s victory is the triumph of the rising American populism and the ideology that this newly developed force holds up to.
