摘要
评判性思维能力最近几十年在外语教育界得到日益关注。本研究通过对国内某大学185名非英语专业学生进行一年的依托式教学实验发现,学生的评判性思维能力与他们的英语水平呈正相关关系,尤其是与学生的接收性技能的相关性显著。此外,研究表明,评判性思维能力强的学生,他们的英语水平也相对较高,因此,评判性思维能力对学生的英语水平提高有影响作用。
In recent decades, critical thinking skills have been increasingly highlighted in the EFL teaching circle. This study investigated a content-based teaching experiment involving 185 EFL learners at a university in China over a period of one year. The results indicated that the EFL learners' critical thinking skills were positively related to their English language proficiency, especially their receptive language skills. In addition, it was revealed that learners with better critical thinking skills possessed higher English proficiency. It is reasonable to conclude then that EFL learners' critical thinking skills have an impact on the development of their English proficiency.
