蒙古族著名音乐理论家乌兰杰先生,在半个多世纪的时间里,潜心研究中国北方之放牧音乐文化及蒙古族传统音乐文化,著有多部理论研究学术专著,全面科学系统地阐述了蒙古族传统音乐文化的精神品质与文化内涵;形成了深刻而独特的学术思想的理论研究方法,并融汇贯穿于蒙古族音乐理论研究的各个学科领域;建构了科学而形成体系的传统音乐及文化理论研究的框架;他的研究领域涉及音乐历史学、音乐文化学、音乐形态学、音乐民族学、音乐哲学与美学、音乐传播学、音乐地理学、音乐文化人类学、宗教音乐及民俗音乐研究等诸多学科,为蒙古族传统音乐文化及人类文化的传承与发展做出了卓越贡献。

Wu Lanjie,the well-known Mongolian musicologist,who has been researching the nomadic music culture of northern china and the traditional Mongolian music culture for half a century,has published many monographs of theoretical researches that all-sidedly and scientifically described the spirit of the traditional Mongolian music culture and formed profound and unique academic view points as well as researching methods that are widely used and practiced in many academic fields of the researching of Mongolian music theories,and these achievements constructed the framework of the researching of traditional Mongolian music theories.His fields of research include music history,music cultures,the morphology of music,ethnomusicology,music philosophy and aesthetics,communication of music,geography of music,music culture and anthropology,religious music and the research of folk music,and he has contributed a lot to and made a huge difference in the traditional Mongolian music culture and the continuation and development of human culture.
