Ouyang Xiu liked the image of rice wine in his poems when he stayed in Chuzhou.He wrote many poems on rice wine.The poems written in Chuzhou possessed abundant connotation that rice wine was indispensable in sightseeing,gathering and low-spirit.The reasons why Ouyang Xiu wrote these poems on rice wine in Chuzhou are linked to the following three reasons:the close relationship between ancient literati and wine,Ouyang Xiu’s feeling expressions by wine,his special demoted experience in Chuzhou.
