思想政治教育功能是思想政治教育实践活动本身各要素与外在社会环境相互作用过程中所呈现出来的不以人的意志为转移的有效特性和积极影响,是思想政治教育本质的外在表现。思想政治教育功能的实现程度与社会环境密不可分。社会环境是思想政治教育存在和发展的场域,是丰富其功能实现的资源保障。从社会转型的视角探讨思想政治教育的功能,可以将其功能归结为经济功能、政治功能、文化功能和社会功能。

The function of ideological and political education refers to the effective characteristic and positive influence that do not shift with man’s will,which is appeared with the process of the interaction between the elements of the ideological and political education practice and the external social environment.It is the external manifestation of ideological and the political education.The degree of realization of the function of ideological and political education is inseparable from the social environment.Social environment is the field where ideological and political education exists and develops,and is the resource guarantee to enrich its function.From the perspective of social transformation to explore the function of ideological and political education,and we can conclude its function as economic function,political function,cultural function and social function.
