《看不见的人》是美国著名黑人作家拉尔夫·艾里森的代表作,在叙事方面有独特的创新。其环形叙事的具体表现:"蛰伏于地下"的开头、"一波三折"的中间和"栖身于洞中"的结尾,叙事由第一人称叙述现在的状态,回忆过去的遭遇,之后又回到现在,巧妙而又高明地将叙述者的过去、现在和将来构成和谐的意义关联。

Invisible Man,African American writer Ralph Ellison's masterpiece,performs an innovation in narrative.The concrete expression of its circular narration is the beginning of"dormant in the ground",the middle of"one wave and three folds"and the end of"dwelling in the hole".The first-person narrator starts his story from his present state of affairs,then reminisce his past experiences,and finally back to the present again,realizing a harmonious association of the narrator's past,present and future ingeniously and brilliantly.
