The development of social economy not only improves people s living standard,but also brings great pressure to life,thus causing psychological problems.This paper expounds the basic connotation of peer psychology,and tries to understand the specific characteristics.By analyzing the present situation of peer counseling model,this paper sums up the problems,such as lack of the network platform,imperfect supervision mechanism,ignoring the media application and so on.At the same time,this paper discusses the importance of peer counseling model,and taking innovation of counseling mode,establishment of management system,and enhancement of professional quality as the starting point,discusses the innovation and development of peer counseling model in the new media era in order to improve the level of counseling,reducing the harm caused by psychological problems.
