The tenth novel Home by Toni Morrison is about how the black protagonist Frank saved himself from the trauma he suffered in his childhood,the Korea War and the racist American society.Home,trauma and salvation are the three key words for a thematic analysis of the novel,which reflect the cultural trauma that African Americans with Frank as the representative suffered,their courage and action of self-salvation and their longing for a really equal and free society.Thus,the value construction of African Americans and their political appeal are expressed in this novel.
