An Exploratory Teaching of British and American Literature Course in the Internet Age

英美文学课程肩负着提高学生语言技能和人文素养的双重任务。英语专业的根本在于英语语言能力的培养和英语思维的扩展,而文学能提高学生语言能力和培养学生用英语思考的能力。网络时代的学生对经典作品的理解更加欠缺,因此探索切合实际的教学方法亟不可待。本文指出课堂应本着以学生为中心的理念,注重人文性,引入女性主义批评理论,并利用影视作品来辅助教学。教师应摒弃陈旧的教学方法,积极探索适合学生的教学模式。

British and American literature course shoulders double tasks of improving students’language skills and humanistic quality.Literature contributes to the objective that English majors should be well-trained in language skills and in English thinking mode.In the Internet age,a great number of students’understanding of classic literature works is insufficient,which requires an exploratory teaching of literature course.This paper points out that the classroom should be student-centered,humanism-oriented,feminist criticism-oriented,and movies should be used as a teaching tool.Out-of-date teaching method should be abandoned,and teaching model suiting students should be actively explored.
