Not long afterw ard he was due back in the pit to conduct th e evening perform ance o f Wagner's nearly six-hour, stam ina-testing Parsifal. A long day spent w ith Mr. Nezet-Seguin suggested that he was already transforming the Met. He projected energy and enthusiasm, establishing a rapport with the orchestra, singers and staff.
