摘要
英国诺贝尔文学奖获得者多丽斯·莱辛的中篇小说《爱的习惯》表现了主要人物乔治的戏剧性爱情观和爱的习惯。戏剧性指能让人主动脱离、疏远正义者遭受的痛苦,或者对此痛苦冷眼旁观并自我反思,从而保持自我批判距离的各种效力。以戏剧性为主线,本文讨论小说如何运用人物的职业、叙事视角差异、俄狄浦斯轨迹和戏仿揭示主人公戏剧性的爱情观和爱的习惯。
This paper analyses the theatrical view on love and theatrical love habit of George,the protagonist of The Habit of Loving,a medium-length novel written by Doris Lessing,a British Nobel Prize winner for literature.Theatricality refers to the enabling effects of active dissociation,or alienation,or self-reflexivity in standing aside from the suffering of the righteous to name and thus bringing into being the self-possession of a critical stance.In light of theatricality,this paper mainly explores the interplay of strategies-characters’profession,narrative perspective difference,Oedipal Trajectory and parody-the novel employs to reveal George's theatrical view-of love and theatrical love habit.
