论中国现当代文学在英国的译介和接受:1949—2015

On the Translated Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature in the UK from 1949 to 2015

本文根据1949年至2015年间在英国出版的中国现当代文学作品目录,概述其在英国译介的三个阶段,从翻译出版、翻译选材、接受和影响等三个方面评述和分析中国现当代文学在英国的译介情况。根据数据整理和分析发现,中国现当代文学在英国的出版数量呈逐年攀升状态,但英译作品的接受度不高。由于受到英语文化的主流感、中英文化差异、英国出版业的现状等多重因素的影响,中国现当代文学的英译作品对英国读者构建客观的中国形象产生了一定的负面影响。

This paper collects all the published modern and contemporary Chinese literature in the United Kingdom from 19492015,and studies the translation of it from the three periods.Meanwhile,this paper analyzes the translation all through the years from such aspects as publishing,translation selection,reception and influence,and finds out that modern and contemporary Chinese literature is not well-accepted in the UK.Also,due to the influence of the superiority of English culture,the differences between Chinese and British languages and cultures,and the status quo of British publishing industry,the translated works of modern and contemporary Chinese literature in the United Kingdom have certain negative impact upon the construction of China by ordinary British readers.
