Yuanxi Dictatorship Power and the Political Situation in Early Xuanwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty

北魏孝文帝临终前,为了巩固宣武帝皇位,设置了以宗王为中心的"六辅"体制。孝文帝死后,辅政宗王之间相互斗争,最终形成咸阳王元禧专权局面。元禧专权与宣武帝皇权形成了尖锐矛盾,宣武帝利用禁卫军、侍臣势力一举废黜"六辅"体制。激烈的矛盾斗争对宣武帝即位之初的政局,以及宣武帝亲政后的政治统治思想产生了深远影响。

Before death,Emperor Xiaowen established the rule of“Liufu”(assistant lords from six departments)with the Emperor being the head,to consolidate the throne of Emperor Xuanwu.After his death,the struggle between the assistant lords and Emperor ultimately led to the dictatorship power of Wang Yuanxi of Xianyang.When the contradiction between the dictatorship power and the Imperial power of Xuanwu Emperor became too sharp,Emperor Xuanwu,recruiting support from imperial guards and courtier forces,deposed the rule of“Liufu”once for all.However,the sharp contradiction had exerted far-reaching influence on the political situation and governing thoughts after his succession to the throne.
