Qiu Chuji reached remarkable artistic height in his abundant Ci writings which are rich in content.These writings are characteristic in his innovative forms of Ci to dilute the flavor of boudoir and add to them flavors of mystical charm.He multiplied the narrative functions of Ci by fusing his argumentation and lyrics with the narrative functions of traditional prefatory remarks in Ci writings,and by various narrative points of view.The simple language in his writings expresses not only the mood of the sublime,but also highlights his artistic achievement,which made his Ci more readable.
