元和淮西之役李光颜功绩初探

On Li Guangyan's Contribution to the Victory of the Huaixi Battles during the Yuanhe Period of Tang Dynasty

在元和九年至十二年的淮西之役中,负责统领北部战线的李光颜,通过两个阶段的军事行动,打通并维护了扬州至郾城的运粮通道,保障了官军的物资供给;抗击了吴元济的主力部队,为李愬奇袭蔡州提供了条件。李光颜积极进取的军事行动,是朝廷在淮西之役中取得胜利的重要保证。

In the Huaixi battles from the ninth to twelfth year of the Yuanhe period of Tang Dynasty,Li Guangyan,the general of the Northern front,successfully opened and maintained the channel of transport from Yang zhou to Yancheng.Consequently,he ensured the military supplies for the official forces,and inflicted heavy losses on the troop of Wu Yuanji,which prepared for Li Shuo’s sudden strike to the Cai county.Li Guangyan’s aggressive military action in the Northern front was the important guarantee of victory of the Huaixi battles.
