成僎《诗说考略》述评

Comment on Cheng Zhuan's Shi Shuo Kao Lue

清代学者成僎《诗说考略》,对《诗经》颇有创见,然而迄今未引起学界关注。成僎在研治《诗经》时,一方面受时代大环境的影响,运用乾嘉学者考证的手段以追求知识的本真;同时,囿于传统的经学观念,又未能摆脱经学的牢笼。通过介绍成僎的生平和《诗说考略》的体例,并从成就和不足两方面进行讨论,有助于全面评价《诗说考略》的学术价值。

Shi Shuo Kao Lue was written by Cheng Zhuan,a famous scholar in Qing dynasty.He has creative insights on The Book of Poems,which have been neglected by scholars today.His study was influenced by his peers,pursuing the truth through textual criticism,and confined by the tradition of the study of Confucian classics,unable to break the tradition.This paper introduces the career of Cheng Zhuan,stylistic rules and layout of his book.It also discusses the achievements and shortcomings,which will help us make an overall evaluation of its academic values.
