当代文学不乏厚重的"史诗"之作,对于中国历史尤其是现代以来历史的重述尤其蔚为大观。何顿的《黄埔四期》在此脉络之下又有新意,其立足于湖南,在家乡情结的激励下,以"起义/叛徒"为叙事爆发点,写尽了北伐战争以来中国历史的波谲云诡,因此瓦解或至少动摇了某些目前已成定论的中国现当代历史成规,从而为中国现当代历史增添了一个有分量的维度。

Contemporary Chinese Literature is no lack of heavy“epic”works,He Dun s The 4 th Huangpu Training Class is under this context and creates some new ideas.Based on Hunan Province,which is also He Dun s hometown,with the“revolt/betrayer”as the outburst point of narration,He Dun writes almost everything about Chinese history since the Northern Expedition,thus at least change or shake some of the conventions of Chinese history.In this sense,The 4 th Huangpu Training Class gives another version of Chinese history.
