On the influence of Liu Jin's monopolized power on Li Mengyang's literary activities

李梦阳是明代"前七子"的代表人物,他率先提出文学复古口号,打破了明代以来雍容平和的台阁气象,对明代文学的发展起到推动作用。明正德初年,太监刘瑾把持朝政,这一政治事件改变了李梦阳的人生命运,并波及到他的文学创作:李梦阳因弹劾刘瑾被贬官、入狱,诗歌创作亦从以鲜明色调为主的前期之作转变成了情感基调偏于灰暗阴森的狱中诗、感怀际遇诗。刘瑾专权对以李梦阳为首的"前七子"的文学复古运动也产生了影响:"前七子"的京师唱和被迫中断,社团成员转入他学,文学复古运动辉煌不再。研究李梦阳及其文学活动,不可不注意刘瑾事件的影响。

As the representative of the Former Seven Poets,Li Mengyang took the lead to advocate lite-rary revivalism,breaking the dignity and elegance of the officialese style and promoting the development of the literature in the Ming Dynasty.During the early years of Zhengde's reign,the eunuch Liu Jin monopolized the power,which changed Li's destiny and influenced his literary creation.Li's impeachment of Liu Jin resulted in his demotion and imprisonment.In addition,his works were also changed from basically bright style to poems about his prison life and personal fortune,which were gloomy and grieved.At the same time,the Former Seven Poets literary revivalism led by Li was also influenced.Their exchange of poems in the capital city was interrupted and members of their association turned into other fields.Consequently,the literary revivalism was not splendid any more.It is indispensable to pay attention to the influence of Liu Jin in the research of Li Mengyang and his literary activities.
