谢霜天长篇小说《梅村心曲》刻画了台湾客家人吴氏家族中诸多女性形象,其中婆婆和继母、素梅、娇莲分别代表吴氏家族的人们对待中华传统文化三种截然不同的态度,而这三种态度是具有一定典型意义的:一是对传统文化的顺从坚守;二是对传统优秀文化的坚守和对传统糟粕文化的批判及对现代文明的追求;三是对传统优秀文化的背叛。这三种态度也体现了谢霜天关于如何重建民族理想人格的思考。
