The innovation of architectural design is always accompanied with some risks.Based on the inductive analysis of the innovations in architectural design,the paper studies the way that the risk composition and the risk preference structure affect the architectural design innovation,and the motivation on which the designers rely to overcome the risk to realize the innovation.Also it points out the social and economic environment that favors the architectural design innovation in some areas.
